SmartTurn removes all the driver's guess-work from knowing when and how to turn the tractor to the next desired wayline. Just simple, reliable, consistent turns every time. 

With four turning patterns to choose from, you can make the most efficient turns to avoid smearing and unnecessary compaction at the headland. 

With SmartTurn more efficient patterns such as part field mode can be used automatically and without mistakes to reduce the total distance driven and lower fuel consumption. 

With Valtra Guide and Auto U-Pilot, SmartTurn automates the entire field operation guaranteeing efficiency and consistency of results. 

U-turn is probably the most familiar turning pattern. The tractor will automatically turn in a 'U' shape moving forward to the next selected wayline - This can be the adjacent, next-but-one (skip) or other specified wayline. Depending on the headland, the number of skipped waylines, and the turning radius, the shape can be either U-shaped or more like a keyhole or lightbulb shape. 

Perfect for working pass-to-pass or every other pass (or more skips).

In Part-Field Mode SmartTurn will automatically turn the tractor at the headland following a predefined part-filed or 'bed' pattern. When one bed has been completed the tractor will automatically move onto the next 'bed'. This is often the most efficient mode. 

Perfect for when you need to stop after completing one field-part (e.g. due to rain) without leaving skipped waylines.

With SmartTurn K Turn Mode, the tractor will automatically turn away from the worked wayline at the headland. Reverse is then manually selected and the tractor will automatically reverse in a straight line. As the forward direction is manually selected, the tractor will automatically continue to the next wayline. The K Turn pattern requires less space at the headland than U Turn and Part-field Mode.

Perfect for working with mounted implements, that should not go out from the field boundary when performing the headland turn.

With Y Turn Mode selected, the tractor will automatically turn towards the worked area, and at the right moment, the driver selects the reverse direction. The tractor then will reverse in a Y shape so that the direction of the tractor and implement are aligned for the next pass. The driver then simply selects the forward direction and SmartTurn will automatically steer the tractor and implement precisely to the next pass. Unlike K Turn, the Y Turn pattern allows the implement to cross the field boundary and requires less space at the headland than U Turn and Part-field modes.

Perfect for tasks demanding a straight approach such as ploughing with a mounted plough.
