Valtra tractor engines
from 75 to 425 horsepower

ACGO engine, heart of Valtra tractor

The heart of your Valtra is the most reliable engine available.

Renowned for their durability, efficiency and extremely strong torque, AGCO Power engines have been the power source of Valtra tractors for over seventy years.

Advanced engine features ensure that Valtra tractors are reliable and comply with the latest emission standards while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency and operating costs.

Clean power with Selective Catalytic Reduction

Valtra was the first manufacturer to introduce an SCR system on agricultural tractors.

Valtra’s selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system is an extremely efficient after-treatment system. A urea and water solution is externally combined with exhaust gases.

By eliminating harmful nitrogen oxide emissions by after treatment, the combustion in the engine is more efficient with four-valve technology and higher injection pressures. Efficient combustion also means improved fuel consumption compared to previous engines. The SCR technology employed by Valtra utilises a combination of a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), particle filter (DPF) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR).

The careful positioning of components and their optimal size (a combination of two different types of catalytic converter) allow the size of the tractor to be kept compact.

Valtra's SCR engines only use clean air, which helps prolong the engine's life. In addition, the use of AdBlue pays for itself through improved fuel efficiency.

EcoPower - Low-rev philosophy

Valtra pioneered the concept of EcoPower tractors. Utilising the sturdiness and high-torque characteristics of AGCO Power engines Valtra tractors produce work at low revs. Today this low-rev philosophy continues to be a core feature of our 6th generation tractors. Compared with standard engines, the engine speed has been reduced by up to 400 rpm, while maintaining maximum torque in this range. This reduces fuel consumption by up to 10%.

The Benefits of low-rev engines

  • Rated speed of 1800 rpm
  • Max. torque at 1100/1200 rpm
  • Very high torque, even at 1000 rpm
  • Wide constant torque range
  • Low fuel consumption, approximately 10% lower than on engine's standard mode
  • Low emissions - environmentally friendly
  • Less vibration
  • Low piston speed: longer engine life
Valtra S Series low idle engine

Low idle

The low idle speed means safety, lower fuel consumption, less engine wear, and a more pleasant engine sound.

A great Valtra innovation, the low-idle feature comes as standard. When the driver stops the tractor and applies the handbrake, the engine speed automatically drops to just 650 / 700 r/min.

AGCO POWER 33 MBTN-D5 - three-cylinder

The three-cylinder 3.3-litre AGCO Power MBTN-D5 engine has a maximum power output of 95 hp delivering up to 355 Nm of torque.

The engine is incredibly responsive at low revs thanks to the electric waste gate. The superstart feature automatically increases engine revs when starting to ensure smooth and easy starting, even under load.  The small size of the compact engine means the bonnet can be smaller to give you a clear driving-direction view.  The Stage V exhaust after-treatment unit is located under the cabin for optimal visibility. The complete package includes DOC, DPF and SCR using AdBlue and because there is no exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), the engine runs coller and cleaner, reducing service costs.

AGCO Power 44 MBTN-D5 - four cylinder

The four-cylinder 4.4-litre AGCO Power 44 MBTN-D5 engine has a maximum output with boost of 145 hp delivering up to 560 Nm of torque.
